Business Development Services

I believe that customer/supplier compatibility in terms of business practices and company culture is key to success for all. Without this, relationships tend to be transactional, win-lose and short lived. As a business development professional, my role is to locate and help foster these long-lasting relationships between suppliers and customers.

Clay is one of those rare individuals who can be focused, pragmatic, and innovative at the same time. “Helping Keep Texas Open For Business”

It was an honor to represent the Texas Association of Business recently and to meet Carlos M. Sada – Mexico Undersecretary for North American Affairs – Former Ambassador of Mexico in Wash D.C. – His talk on the importance of NAFTA was excellent.

Mexico views its relationship with the U.S. from six interrelated perspectives:
1. Trade
2. Immigration
3. Labor
4. Mobility
5. Environment
6. Security

In light of China joining the WTO 25+ years ago, NAFTA has strengthened North America’s position globally. The strength of NAFTA is as a result of a longstanding cooperative effort by the U.S., Mexico “and” Canada. The world has changed over the past 25+ years and there is room for updating/improving the NAFTA agreement.

Lessons from a Third Grade Dropout

After his wife died, Rick Rigsby was ready to give up. The bare minimum was good enough. Rigsby was content to go through the motions, living out his life as a shell of himself. But then he remembered the lessons his father taught him years before - something insanely...

At the Heart Of Leadership

Organizations change. They have to in order to address the changing needs of those they serve; the end customer, the stakeholders and the employees. We’ve heard all our lives that “change is inevitable” – “change before you have to” – “the only constant in life is...

Finding Your Voice and Learning to Lead

Back in 1990, as I was beginning to find my stride inside Motorola, we were faced with many large changes on a corporate-wide basis. These were not product changes, although there were plenty of those as well. These were changes that sought to speak to the essence of...
